The challenge was locating the best to perform the services. You will be surprised what I went through.
It took weeks to locate an aluminum welder to fab and weld a donor fin to both left & right cylinders.
I was introduced to one guy by several people including Wild West Honda. This welder remarked that I supply the donor fin already cut to size!!
Another welder held on to the part for 5 weeks before I threw in the towel.
After splitting the cases I had the following services done:
- Weld missing fins on the cylinder by Miller's Machine and Welding
- Rear hub polished and shift linkage chromed by Atlas Plating
- Bore cylinders and chamfer ports by Harold's Automotive Machine Shop
